how to overcome imposter syndrome

The past few weeks I’ve noticed myself & some of my biz owner friends feeling this way. As entrepreneurs we can get so caught up in what others in our industry are doing. We start second guessing our own path and then get stuck so we start doing the same thing other people are doing. hello, imposter syndrome. We end up ignoring our own path and pursue the path of everyone else. So, if you find yourself worrying about what other people in your industry are doing, this post is for you.

What can you do to overcome imposter syndrome?

01. put your head down.

Focus on your own path. Stop looking at what everyone else is doing. Do what you need to do if you find yourself getting stuck in imposter syndrome. Unfollow or mute people that are not inspiring your to think & be creative.

02. overdeliver for your clients & customers by being genuine & creating authentic connection.

Pour your energy into over delivering for your clients & customers. Be genuine & create authentic connection with the people who have said yes to you & what you offer. Serve them well. Ask for reviews and referrals.

03. out work your competition by creating systems that allow you to show up everywhere CONSISTENTLY.

I’m not telling you that you need to hustle & work 24/7. (If you’re stuck in hustle culture - listen to this podcast or read this blog.) I’m encouraging you to our work your competitors by creating systems that allow you to show up everywhere consistently. These systems you put in place should be automated, efficient, & effective. Put in the time & energy it takes to create these systems because when they are put in place and work with or without you, you’ll be so glad you did.

04. be continuously learning.

There will always be new trends and new techniques. Spend time developing your skills and focus on your specialty. Become the expert in your field & show up with complete authority and confidence in that.

Friend, this is your reminder to stop worry about what other people are doing & focus on your own journey. I’m cheering you on. Need help? Shoot me an email at ally@allylauren.com and let’s see how I can serve you.
