ally Lauren turns 3!

3 years — eeeeee! You guys, I can’t believe it.

I am soooo thankful for your support & kindness these past few years.

When I started my personal brand — ally lauren — I had know idea where it would take me. I just wanted to help people. I wanted to bet on myself and the things I could create rather than settle in a career that left me unfulfilled. & it’s paid off.

I did not expect to create so many friendships and community *worldwide* (it literally blows my mind). I did not expect to partner with brands I’m obsessed with. I did not expect to be teaching yoga to thousands of you each month. & here we are, 3 years later.

This past year I’ve seen some incredible growth in the ally Lauren world. I’ve shifted my focus to primarily teaching yoga, partnering with brands, and fostering relationships in the AL community. And I have ZERO plans to stop anytime soon… actually we’re going to be doing some MAJOR expanding this year (but I’ll tell you more about that another day)!

Right now, I want to celebrate with you! Here are some major milestones we’ve hit this past year because of your love & support --

🎉 Launched the Yoga Club Membership

🎉 Taught live yoga classes weekly

🎉 Recorded & published guided meditations on the Insight Timer App

🎉 Served over 3,710 people through AL

🎉 Sent out weekly emails to the email fam

🎉 Sent out several pitches/was asked to teach yoga in rad places like a rooftop in Washington, DC, a cutie local plant shop, a retirement home, a local library, an indoor playground, an accounting office, a real estate office & soooo many more!

🎉 Guest spoke on several podcasts, IG lives, YouTubes, & blogs about all the things — lifestyle, living in a van, running a business, fashion, teaching yoga!

🎉 Completed 2 yoga teaching certifications

So yeah… it’s been busy year but it’s been so full of purpose.

But, I don’t want this to just be post about what all the milestones we’ve hit this year, I also want to share 3 things I’ve learned from these 3 years in business. My hope is that these things will inspire you on your own business journey (or creative journey).

3 things i’ve learned in the last 3 years of business

01. Commit to being consistent.

Success to me is not the harvest you reap, but the number of seeds you sow. It’s the number of people you impact — not the number in your bank account or on your social media profile or the number of clicks to your website. And maybe this is a spoiler, but the only way to sow the seeds — to impact people — is by putting in the work & effort. That means sending the emails, writing the blogs, talking to people, teaching the classes, pitching yourself, going out of your comfort zone — showing up. & doing it again and again — even when it feels like you’re not making anyyyyyy progress what so ever. Commit to your vision, commit to your purpose, and follow through. Focus on what is within your control and foster your resilience. You’ll fail on your face more than once but you’ll be okay. Dust yourself off and focus on the seeds you’re sowing.

02. Leap even if you don’t know where you’re leaping to, you’ll get to where you’re supposed to be one way or another.

When I started ally lauren, I had zero clue what I wanted it to be, but I knew the purpose — help people. Through the years I’ve had sooooooo many pivots with this business and that’s okay. I was figuring it out as I went. So if you’re wanting to start a personal brand, a business, or even something small like a YouTube channel or something — whatever it is, start. Take the leap even if you don’t have the end goal figured out just yet. You can in fact build the plane while you’re flying it — and unpopular opinion but you can do it well, especially when you trust yourself, the decisions you make, and the people you want to serve. Just focus on taking the next step in front of you, you’ll get to where you’re meant to be with time.

03. Enjoy the journey.

Cherish it all y’all. Your journey is so unique to you. You’ll look back on your early days of all the “figuring it out/making it work/problem solving” with so much gratitude and appreciation because without those moments you wouldn’t be where you are today. Plus, in my own experience, the climb up is always the most fun part so enjoy it.

One final note…

I wish I could buy you all a cup of coffee but until then I just want to say thank you thank you thank you for being here. Thank you for referring me, for taking my yoga classes, for reading my blogs + emails, for liking my social media posts, for watching my social media stories, for sending me dms, for using my affiliate links, for reposting my content, for paying for my services. I’m just so endlessly grateful that I get to call this my job and that you all are the very cool people I get to interact with every day. You’re the mvps — I have ENDLESS Gratitude + appreciation for you amazing human beings.

xx
